Meet Derelyn
Hi, I'm Derelyn, a Birth and Postpartum Doula and Newborn Care Specialist dedicated to helping families navigate pregnancy, birth, and life with a new baby with confidence and peace of mind.
Trained through Sista Midwife Productions and Full Bloom Birthing and certified in CPR and First Aid, I combine professional training with hands-on experience caring for newborns and assisting parents during the transition into parenthood.
Whether I'm providing labor support, overnight newborn care, postpartum assistance, or virtual guidance, my goal is to create a calm, reassuring presence while offering evidence-based education, practical assistance, and compassionate encouragement. I believe every family deserves personalized care that honors their values, choices, and unique journey.
When I'm not working with families, you'll likely find me singing, dancing, enjoying Cajun food (I'm a proud New Orleans native), or spending time with my dog.
I look forward to walking alongside you during this special season and helping you feel supported every step of the way.

Meet Shanna
As a maternal and infant health researcher with more than 18 years of experience documenting the maternal health crisis in the United States, Shanna has witnessed firsthand how essential meaningful support is during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. Research consistently shows that doula care improves outcomes for both mothers and babies, and her path to becoming a doula grew from a desire to be part of that solution. Shanna believes the time during and after pregnancy is sacred—a life-changing season rooted in tradition, hope, and deep connection. It is a transformative chapter that calls for the nourishment of body, mind, and soul.
As a mom of three kids that are now adults, she calls herself the “Mommy Mentor”. Her approach centers each family's voice, values, and vision to help them create a path that feels aligned, supported, and deeply rooted in well-being. She educates families about their options and thoughtfully tailors her services to each family's unique needs and preferences. Her offerings include childbirth education, mind-body preparation for labor, continuous labor companionship and comfort measures, postpartum nourishment through healing foods, teas, and natural remedies, as well as gentle guidance in infant feeling and care.

Meet Manda Ryce
I am Manda Ryce, a dedicated birth and postpartum doula with a passion for supporting mothers and families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum journey. My background in the maternity field began before becoming a doula, as I worked as a medical assistant alongside OB/GYN providers, where I gained valuable experience caring for women throughout different stages of pregnancy and their reproductive health journeys.
My time working in an OB/GYN setting strengthened my understanding of the importance of compassionate care, patient education, and creating a supportive environment for mothers. It also inspired me to continue serving families in a way that provides more personalized emotional, physical, and informational support beyond the clinical setting.
My journey into birth work was also shaped by my own experiences with motherhood and pregnancy loss, which gave me a deeper understanding of the emotional needs of mothers and families during vulnerable moments. These experiences have allowed me to provide care with empathy, patience, and a trauma-informed approach.
As a doula, I provide prenatal education, birth preparation, comfort measures during labor, emotional support, advocacy, postpartum recovery guidance, breastfeeding support, and newborn transition support. I help families feel informed and confident in their choices while providing a calm and reassuring presence throughout their birth experience.
I am passionate about supporting mothers through all types of birth experiences, including first-time parents, families navigating pregnancy after loss, and mothers who desire additional guidance and support. My goal is to help families feel heard, empowered, and cared for during one of the most meaningful moments of their lives.

Hello, my name is Maddie. I am originally from Miami, Florida. I am a highly trained Certified Pediatric Nurse in Atlanta, GA. I enjoy the simple things in life, such as laughing, eating good food and spending time with the ones I love. I come from an immigrant family from Haiti. This has shaped my mind and my way of thinking about life. Coming from a family with roots in a developing country has molded me to be more compassionate and willing to help in any way that I can.
Throughout my nursing career, I have always been moved by women who use their bodies as vessels to bring new creations into this world. The entire pregnancy and postpartum part of the process really impacted me the most when two of my closest friends had a bad postpartum crisis. As a nurse, I always wondered if there was more that I could have done to be there for them. This is one of the biggest reasons why I founded The Gift of MaDoula, LLC. I wanted to be an advocate to those who are in the most vulnerable period in their life but this period of their life is also the most transformative.
As a doula, I use evidence-based information to help care for mothers and your newborn such as labor support, hands-on comfort support, infant feeding, emotional/physical support, and newborn care. I incorporate my doula knowledge with my skills and experiences as a nurse to help families with the challenges and changes that come with bringing a new life into the world. My overall goal as a doula is to leave families feeling more resilient, equipped with newly added skills to better take care for themselves and their growing family.
